A Thrift Haul

Guys, dreams came true last week - I was given the opportunity to shop at what’s branded as “The Largest Thrift Store in LA” and you know I just had to jump at the chance! Of course thrifting is a fun hobby of mine and the insane amount of square footage filled with vintage goodies had me foaming at the mouth (so gross, could I not think of a more appealing description?) - what really sold me on St. Vincent de Paul was the lengths they go to, to give back to our communities here in SoCal.

The St. Vincent de Paul’s LA Council has about 2,500 volunteers that serve an average of 200,000 disadvantaged people, poor and homeless, a year with food, clothing, furniture, appliances, bill-paying and other forms of assistance like operating food pantries and even going as far as holding both a camp for disadvantaged kids and a homeless program for the men on skid row.

So, when you go here, not only do you get super dope finds, the money you spend goes to making all their efforts happen. Stepping back and looking at the bigger picture, we are ALL essentially helping those that need it. How cool is that? While there, I was able to pick up a few clothing pieces that I wanted to show you guys. Everything was reasonably priced and they are always having a sale!
